Do I need special pyjamas when breastfeeding?

All throughout your pregnancy you will find that you don't always need to get everything listed in magazines. You can adapt what you have in your wardrobe, borrow from friends or family, or find other ways of doing stuff. When it comes to having your baby, and breastfeeding, the same rules apply. Baby doesn't need a lot, but you do to ensure you're comfortable and you can let down your milk easily without damaging your breast tissue. Nursing nightwear is really useful, along with nursing bras for day wear. A breastfeeding nightdress or pyjama set will ensure you can breastfeed baby comfortably, with a little light support, and discreetly, with the special breastfeeding tops. The nighties or pyjama pants are also shaped for a pregnant body shape, so tend to be more comfortable than an ordinary nightdress, or pyjama set. There are a lot of different styles to wear at night time. Some women prefer a more supportive nursing bra top, underneath or instead of a pyjama top. This can be better if you are fuller breasted as you may find your breasts are very tender during the first few days of nursing. The nursing nightwear often has some light breast support in. The HOTmilk styles are very stylish, with the tops often being suitable for outerwear as well, with Anita and Carriwell brands being more comfortable. There are a lot of brands on the market, so there should be something suitable for you. Every woman has different needs, but feeling good and comfortable is important to us all. Make a list of the important things you need for when baby is born, and ask other people to get things.
